Users who don't have an Instagram account can trigger the App Clip by clicking on a link to a Reel that is shared via iMessage or other apps. App Clip allows users to watch the Reel in the Instagram app's native UI. In addition to this, it allows users to scroll through other popular videos and share them with others.

Ads on Instagram Reels gives eligible creators a way to earn money when they allow ads to be placed on their reels. The more monetization-eligible plays you receive on your reels, the more you earn. Instagram will place ads for creators, optimizing for the viewer experience.

Instagram Reels Play is an invite-only bonus program that lets you earn money on your reels content. If you are invited, you will receive a pop-up notification and an invite that appears in your Professional Dashboard on the Instagram app.

Once in the Instagram app, you will see an icon of a clapperboard in the menu at the bottom of your screen. Tapping on this icon will take you to the Reels section of the Instagram app. You will be shown Reels based on the people you follow and the content you usually interact with on Instagram.
