Sign in with your NetID to place requests. To check items out at the library, use your Rutgers ID card. You can check out items up to one month in advance of starting classes or working at Rutgers. Bring a valid Rutgers ID card or proof of current registration to the information desk of any Rutgers library.

Rutgers alumni and senior auditors can register as guest borrowers. Guest borrowers may check out up to 25 books, for up to 6 weeks (unless requested by another patron).

Interlibrary loan (abbreviated ILL, and sometimes called document delivery, document supply, interlending, interlibrary services, interloan, or resource sharing) is a service that enables patrons of one library to borrow physical materials and receive electronic documents that are held by another library.

Rutgers University Libraries' collections are available to all individuals for use on site. Some materials are stored and need to be paged. Some rare, fragile, or gift materials may have restricted use.
