Guest borrowers may check out up to 25 books, for up to 6 weeks (unless requested by another patron). Guests aren't eligible for off-campus access to our subscription databases, but may access them on-site at any Rutgers library.

To check items out at the library, use your Rutgers ID card. You can check out items up to one month in advance of starting classes or working at Rutgers. Bring a valid Rutgers ID card or proof of current registration to the information desk of any Rutgers library.

Rutgers University Libraries' collections are available to all individuals for use on site. Some materials are stored and need to be paged.

Our Library Network At its center is the John Cotton Dana Library, which offers over 600,000 books, bound periodicals, government publications, and audiovisual items.
